Huskies thrash Bears

 

Isaiah Thomas made a career-high six 3-pointers en route to 23 points, Matthew Bryan-Amaning added 18, and Washington emphatically snapped its three-game losing streak with a 109-77 rout of California on Thursday night in Seattle.

Six Huskies finished in double figures as Washington led by 24 at halftime and rebounded after thudding its way out of first place in the Pac-10 and the AP Top 25 last week with losses at Washington State, Oregon State and Oregon.

Washington (16-7, 8-4 Pac-10) pulled within 1 1/2 games of idle Arizona for the conference lead.

Thomas made 7 of 11 shots, added nine assists and grabbed four rebounds.

Jorge Gutierrez led California (13-11, 7-5) with 24 points.

Cal played the final 29 minutes without freshman Allen Crabbe after a knee-to-head collision with Washington’s Aziz N’Diaye.

Malcolm Lee scored 25 points as UCLA (17-7, 8-3) defeated Oregon (12-12, 5-7) 64-54 in Los Angeles. The Bruins held a 41-28 rebound advantage. … Nikola Vucevic had 17 points and 10 rebounds as USC (13-11, 5-6) earned a 67-56 victory over Oregon State (9-14, 4-8) in Los Angeles.

Mickey McConnell scored 25 points, Rob Jones had 10 points and a season-high 16 rebounds and Saint Mary’s (21-4, 9-1) beat host Santa Clara (15-11, 5-4) 65-59. … Perris Blackwell scored 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead San Francisco (13-11, 7-2) to a 61-47 victory over visiting San Diego (5-20, 1-9). … Luke Sikma had 19 points and seven rebounds to become Portland’s all-time rebound leader with 915 and Pepperdine (11-16, 5-5) earned a 66-64 victory over Portland (17-8, 4-5) in Malibu, Calif.

Paul Noonan had 19 points and seven rebounds off the bench to lead Boise State (13-11, 6-6 WAC) to a 75-61 victory over visiting Fresno State (11-13, 5-7).
