Winter prompts fun-filled events

February means fun at two Spokane Valley churches this week as they plan community events to brighten the winter days.

• The youth of Opportunity Christian Church will serve a spaghetti lunch for valentines or anyone else who would like to drop in after the 10:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday. The meal is by donation, with the proceeds slated to be added to the youth’s missionary fund. The church is at 708 N. Pines Road.

• Zion Lutheran Church is planning a Fiesta Game Night on Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. Adults are invited to bring a game to play and there will be special games and movies for youths and children.

Those attending are asked to bring a Mexican-themed dish to share during a potluck dinner. Beverages will be provided.

The church is at 8304 E. Buckeye Ave. Call the church office at (509) 926-5407 for more information.
