CCS men defeat Treasure Valley

Danny Marshall scored a team-high 28 points to go with seven rebounds and Chaz Johnson added 20 points, six rebounds and five assists as the Community Colleges of Spokane (16-7, 8-3) had four players score in double figures, beating Treasure Valley CC (4-16, 0-11) 103-86 in NWAACC action Saturday in Ontario, Ore.

Steve Larson tallied a game-high 38 points for the Chukars, but CCS forced 23 turnovers, scoring 30 points in transition.

Preston Wynne hit 4 of 9 from 3-point range, scoring 19 points for the Sasquatch, who hit 45.1 percent from the floor.

Snow 77, North Idaho 72: Mason Sawyer’s 31 points led the way for the Badgers (16-10, 5-6), who withstood a late charge by the Cardinals (20-7, 5-7) to win in SWAC play in Ephraim, Utah.

Michael Hale III scored 25 points for the Cardinals, who made a run in the second half, shooting 45.2 percent after the break. Snow was able to stay out front, though, hitting 11 of 18 free thows after the break.

Abebe Dimissie added 13 points for NIC. Mitch Friel scored 11 points for Snow.
