What next for M’s?

The Super Bowl is history, basketball is coming to a close along with other winter sports and spring is just around the corner.

It sounds like it’s baseball season.

But  who will be on the field for the Mariners?  They have sold off most of the team and made bad trades. They have moved (Chone) Figgins to third base with a weakening arm and other age-related ailments along with a low batting average. (Ichiro) Suzuki is getting long in the tooth and more expensive.  Can they afford him?

Who are the  Mariners going to put on the field?

The sportswriters will start with glowing buildups of how good all the team is going to be before spring training, only to have egg all over their faces.  But they don’t seem to care.  They do it every year.
