NIC sweeps softball twin bill

North Idaho College swept a softball doubleheader with Colorado Northwestern on Sunday, winning the first game 8-0 and the second 5-3 in Saint George, Utah.

Kristina DeAnda went 5 for 6 on the day and had four stolen bases in Game 2. Shelby Gonzales hit two home runs Sunday, and went 2 for 3 with three RBIs in the second game. Blake Meredith was 3 for 3 with three RBIs in the first game.

The Cardinals play another doubleheader with Colorado Northwestern today starting at 10 a.m.
