Selection and deception

The last 2008 primary I was secretary of the Spokane Valley Republican Action Club. I was being belittled by a certain party member, because I was behind John McCain. I was also writing a newsletter for a certain Republican Woman’s club when they started pushing me to write something about Ron Paul.

Reading information given me, I could not buy into his politics and resigned. I could see that we were being hijacked and went with a group that formed our own party, the Spokane Republican Party.

Prior to the meeting to pick three candidates to send to the county commissioners, I had received an e-mail from the wife of the former leader of Precinct 4, who was resigning (Jeff Baxter was voted to replace him), telling me that a letter to the editor had been sent endorsing Matt Shea.

Well, readers, we hadn’t yet even met to vote. At the meeting we were given notes by the Libertarian faction of this meeting, telling us who to vote for: Matt Shea, Jeff Baxter and Ron Murry. Now, you tell me the fix wasn’t in.

What a web we weave when we first start to deceive.
