Washington State Cougars outlook

RECORD: 17-8 overall, 7-6 Pac-10

COMING UP: Tonight at Arizona, 5:30 (FSN); Saturday at Arizona State, 11 a.m., (FSN).

OUTLOOK: The first-place Wildcats (21-4, 10-2) limped into Beasley in late January after losing in Seattle, but left with a 65-63 win and momentum. Since then, UA hasn’t lost, despite leading-man Derrick Williams (19.2 points, 8.0 rebounds per game) struggling at times with a pinkie injury on his shooting hand. Others, including guard MoMo Jones and reserve Kevin Parrom, have picked up the slack. The last-place Sun Devils (9-15, 1-11) take a 10-game Pac-10 losing streak into tonight’s game with UW, but including in that was a stretch in which ASU lost three games by a total of seven points.
