North Idaho College hires Kelly as new volleyball coach
Former Montana State University volleyball star Kandice Kelly has been named new volleyball coach at North Idaho College, the school announced Thursday.
Kelly replaces Colleen Frohlich, who led the Cardinals to fifth place at last season’s NJCAA national tournament after NIC won Scenic West Athletic Conference and Region 18 tournament titles. Frohlich resigned when her husband accepted a job in Arizona.
Kelly starred as a setter and outside hitter at Class B Roundup (Mont.) High before playing from 2003-2006 for MSU. She is the Bobcats’ single-season and career leader in digs.
Kelly was an assistant coach for the Montana Grizzlies from 2007-2010.
