Teen dies in rollover in Clayton

A 17-year-old Spokane boy died after a one-car roll-over accident at 10:03 p.m. on Highway 395 in Clayton on Friday.

Johnathen M. Carwile was northbound in a Saturn SL2 when his vehicle left the roadway on a curve and rolled, ejecting Carwile.

Despite efforts to resuscitate Carwile with CPR, he died at the scene of the crash, the Washington State Patrol reported..

His passenger, Kaili L. Donica, 16, of Medical Lake, was taken to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center. Her condition is unknown. She was wearing a seatbelt, WSP said.

Police believe excessive speed and drugs or alcohol may have been factors in the crash.
