New Faces

Brian Behler has been hired as president and CEO of Skils’Kin. He previously served as a managing principal of a Spokane Certified Public Accounting firm and has more than 25 years of related experience.

Hoover Insurance LLC in Spokane Valley has hired Brenda Shimp to work in the company’s Personal Lines and Small Business Insurance divisions.

Mike Tatko has been hired as regional business manager for Avista’s Lewiston and Clarkston service areas. He previously worked for Regence health insurance company as manager of media and public relations and was a writer for the Lewiston Morning Tribune. He holds a bachelor’s degree in print journalism from the University of Idaho.

Integrus Architecture has hired Katie Farnes as an interior designer. She holds a bachelor’s degree in interior design from Washington State University. The company also hired Vikki Hansen as a receptionist. She previously worked as a receptionist for an architectural firm in Olympia

Greg Holder has been promoted to leader of the roads and highways group for David Evans and Associates’ Spokane and Coeur d’Alene offices. He is a senior associate of the firm and has been with the company since 1995.

Josh Brunn has been hired as an associate for Windermere Coeur d’Alene Realty. He previously worked in the banking industry and holds a bachelor’s degree in advertising from the University of Idaho. The company also hired Joan Genter as an associate. She previously worked in real estate in California and holds a Graduate, Realtor Institute designation and a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies.

Keller Williams Realty Spokane has hired Mike Thiefault. He previously worked for Homes 4 You in Spokane.

Kudos

Tanna St. Marie of Pacific NW Title was named Volunteer of Year by The Spokane Home Builders Association during its annual banquet. The association also presented Tim Ayers of CGP Builders Etc. with a Presidential Award.

The National Association of Conservation Districts presented Nicole Berg-Tobin with its national Olin Sims Conservation Leadership Award for her promotion and leadership of conservation on private lands. Berg-Tobin, a resident of Patterson, Wash., is the South-Central area director for the Washington Association of Conservation Districts and serves on the NRCS State Technical Advisory Committee as a Washington Wheat Growers representative.

The Building Systems Council presented David Endy with its S.A. Walters Systems-Built Achievement Award for his contributions to the US industrialized housing industry. Endy is president of the Stratford Building Corporation in Rathdrum, Idaho and Stratford Homes LP in Stratford, Wis.

The Idaho Department of Labor and the Idaho Career Information System presented North Idaho College with a Leadership in Career Development Award, for the educational and community contributions made by the college’s Career Center.

Appointed

Richard Peterson has been appointed as president for 2011 of Spokane Business Builders. Peterson and his wife, Shelly, own Fikes Northwest Corporation in Spokane Valley.

Hospice of Spokane elected Helene Paroff as a member of its board of trustees. Paroff serves as assistant superintendent of student learning and support services for NorthEast Educational Service District 101.

Bryce Wilcox has been elected by Lukins and Annis P.S. as president/managing partner. He has been with the firm since 1993.

Professional Photographers of America elected Robert Behm to its board of directors. Behm is a Certified Professional Photographer and owner of Valley Studio of Photography in Spokane Valley.
