Budget talk lacks morality
At our state and the federal level, the attempts to fix the budget woes seem to be concentrated at cuts to programs for the poor, the disabled and children, while giving tax cuts to the rich.

We weren’t even willing to have a sales tax on soda and candy. OK, OK, I’m a bleeding heart liberal! But these proposed cuts do not seem to be the work of an exceptional nation. Where is our moral outrage at these acts of unkindness? Oh, right, we’re spending that on homosexuals and illegal immigrants.
