Injured The Sacramento Kings say guard Tyreke Evans will miss three weeks with an injured left foot. Evans underwent the first of three extra corporeal shockwave treatments on his left foot and will be placed in a walking boot. • Golfer Tim Clark withdrew from the Match Play Championship in Marana, Ariz., because of an elbow injury and been replaced in the 64-man field by J.B. Holmes.

Returning Five-time Pro Bowl cornerback Ronde Barber will return for a 15th season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The team announced that Barber signed a one-year contract. The 35-year-old is the club’s career interceptions leader with 40 and has made 183 consecutive starts, the second-longest streak among active NFL players behind Peyton Manning.

Tagged The Carolina Panthers placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on two-time Pro Bowl center Ryan Kalil, a move that will help keep the core of the offensive line intact but will also make two other key players unrestricted free agents. General manager Marty Hurney chose to restrict Kalil’s free agency over running back DeAngelo Williams and defensive end Charles Johnson.

• The Cleveland Browns placed the franchise tag on place-kicker Phil Dawson, a strong signal the club will attempt to re-sign its career leader in field goals.

Hired Seton Hall named Patrick Lyons its new athletic director. Lyons comes to Seton Hall after spending the last seven years as Iona College’s athletic director. The 36-year-old replaces Patrick Hobbs, the Seton Hall Law School dean who has been running the program on an interim basis since Joe Quinlan resigned last year.

Charged An Anaconda, Mont., man faces a charge of disorderly conduct after witnesses said he fought with his son’s wrestling coach during a weekend tournament in Butte. KXLF-TV reports William Johnson, 26, was arrested Saturday at the Butte Civic Center. Those involved told police that Johnson was unhappy with the way the referee was scoring a match involving his son and started yelling at the referee. The boy’s coach intervened and the father reportedly attacked the coach.
