Gonzaga Bulldogs outlook

OVERVIEW: When the Bulldogs lost at home to Saint Mary’s on Jan. 27, they fell three games behind the Gaels. Gonzaga hasn’t lost since in conference while Saint Mary’s stumbled at Portland and at San Diego. The Bulldogs must win to have a chance at extending their run of WCC titles to 11 straight years. A Gaels victory would clinch the title, the school’s first since 1997, and a season sweep of Gonzaga for the first time since 1995. San Diego outscored Saint Mary’s 50-34 in the second half to post a 74-66 upset last week. Senior guard Matt Dorr, a Mt. Spokane and Community Colleges of Spokane product, is averaging 9.4 points.
