Religion Notebook: Panel to discuss impact of faith

The Spokane Interfaith Council will present “Faith and Family: Interfaith Panel, Potluck and Conversation” Sunday from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2721 E. 63rd Ave.

The event will include a panel discussion with representatives from seven faiths about the impact of their faith on family life.

Soup and bread will be provided. Attendees are asked to bring an appetizer, salad or dessert.

The Interfaith Council meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m. in the Center for Spiritual Living, 2825 E. 33rd Ave.

Vacation Bible school open house

The Book Parlor, 1425 W. Broadway Ave., will present a vacation Bible school open house Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Church representatives are invited to come and take a look at available materials for this year’s VBS, and the store is offering a 15 percent discount on all materials purchased before June 1.
