Reconstructing hope

After reading the article “Ear to the future” (Feb. 22), I feel extremely hopeful for the future. I, too, can relate to the article because I have been there before with reconstructive surgery.

The future is important. The more we can help it, the better the world can be. To know that little kids who are born with birth defects have the chance to strive and live strongly like any other kids gives me hope that maybe the world can be a better place, one child or patient at a time.

The present may not look so good, but it doesn’t mean the future isn’t promising. Thank you to all the doctors, nurses, sponsors and supporters for helping make medical miracles happen. You guys change lives.
