Plows to clear Browne’s streets Tuesday, Wednesday

Vehicles in the way subject to towing
By The Spokesman-Review

City of Spokane plows will be clearing streets in Browne’s Addition on Tuesday and Wednesday, and vehicle owners will be required to move their cars during the operation.

Plowing on Tuesday will start at 9 a.m. on north-south streets, requiring drivers to move vehicles off those streets.

On Wednesday, plows will head down east-west avenues, requiring vehicles to be moved from those streets before the start of plowing at 9 a.m.

The requirement to move vehicles is because streets are so narrow in Browne’s Addition that snow could become a safety hazard, particularly for emergency vehicles trying to respond to fires or for medical care.

Vehicles parked in the way of plows are subjected to towing, and the charges that stem from impoundment and towing.
