LC ekes out win over PF

Jenna Lewis hit a pair of free throws to give Lake City (13-3, 2-1) a three-point lead with 4 seconds remaining and Post Falls’ Tori Davenport had her game-tying attempt bounce off the rim as visiting LC held on for the 43-40 victory in IEL 5A action Tuesday.

Lewis finished with 12 points and Alyssa Kacalek added nine for the Timberwolves, while Davenport had a team-high 11 points for the Trojans (6-9, 0-4).

Coeur d’Alene 61, Sandpoint 23: Caelyn Orlandi and Erin Legel each finished with 14 points and the Vikings (10-4) cruised to a win over the host Bulldogs (6-9). Legel added four steals and three assists, while Kendalyn Brainard had eight points and six rebounds for the Vikings.

Great Northern

Clarkston 54, Cheney 39: Jamie Weisner scored 11 of her 18 points in the second quarter and K.C. McConnell added 16 points as the Bantams (7-3, 2-1) took a 19-point lead into the half and cruised to the win against the host Blackhawks (4-6, 0-3). Sarah Benzel had 11 points to lead the Blackhawks.

Pullman 57, Medical Lake 39: After being held to just two points in the opening half, Shelby Cheslek poured in 16 points over the final two quarters to lead the Greyhounds (5-6, 3-1) to a victory over the visiting Cardinals (5-7, 1-3). Pullman trailed by one at halftime, but outscored ML 36-19 in the second half.

West Valley 45, Deer Park 25: Hannah Love finished with a game-high 21 points to go along with 19 rebounds and the host Eagles (9-1, 3-0) took a 14-point lead over the Stags (4-9, 0-4) in the first quarter and cruised to the win. Mallorie Schoesler added eight points and eight rebounds for WV.

Northeast A

Freeman 60, Riverside 19: MacKenzie Taylor tallied a game-high 15 points to go with 10 rebounds and the Scotties (12-1, 3-0) outscored the visiting Rams (3-9, 0-3) 41-11 in the first half to pull away early. Alyssa Maine added 12 points for the Scotties.

Newport 62, Chewelah 43: Taylor Lewis filled out the stat sheet with 23 points, eight rebounds, six assists and four steals, playing mostly in the first half, leading the Grizzlies (10-3, 1-2) to a win over the visiting Cougars (3-10, 0-3). Lewis tallied 15 of her 23 points in the first quarter.

Colville 43, Lakeside 41 (OT): Ashley Knight finished with 12 points and 13 rebounds and Tasha Luu scored with 26 seconds remaining in overtime to lift the Indians (12-0, 3-0) to a win over the host Eagles (9-4 2-1) in Nine Mile Falls. Lexie Zappone led the Eagles with 17 points and nine rebounds.

Bi-County 2B

Kettle Falls 62, Davenport 40: Samantha Charlton notched 20 points to go with eight steals and six assists and Nikka Yankus added 19 points and eight rebounds as the Bulldogs (8-4, 6-2) outscored the host Gorillas (4-6, 3-3) 33-19 in the first half and cruised to the win to remain in third place, a game behind Colfax.

Northwest Christian 53, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 48: Bryanna Bailey had 15 points and the Crusaders (5-5, 3-3) outscored the host Broncos (5-6, 3-4) 17-12 in the fourth quarter to pull ahead after being tied at 36-36 through three. Davi Killian had 13 points for the Broncos.

Columbia 48, Wellpinit 26: Krista Colvin led with 12 points, 10 steals and seven rebounds and the host Lions (13-0, 6-0) outscored the Redskins (7-6, 4-2) 14-5 in the fourth quarter to pull away in Hunters. Elizabeth Larrew added 12 points and JulieAnn Larew 10 for the Lions, who finished with 21 steals.

Selkirk 61, Cusick 44: Haley Adams scored 11 of her 14 points in the fourth quarter as the Rangers (10-3, 4-2) outscored the Panthers (1-8, 0-4) 25-13 in the final frame in Cusick. Andrea Heinen scored a game-high 20 points for the Panthers.

Liberty 60, Springdale 47: Ally Tee scored 25 of her 31 points in the second half as the Lancers (4-8, 3-5) outscored the host Chargers (0-10, 0-7) 44-20 after the break. Kristina Cornmesser added 15 points for the Chargers.

Southeast 1B

Touchet 35, LaCrosse-Washtucna 24: Josie Christopher had 16 points to lead all scorers and the visiting Indians (2-7, 1-5) earned their first league win, outscoring the Tigercats (1-10, 0-6) 15-2 in the first quarter.

Lake Roosevelt 64, Manson 22: At Coulee Dam, Roweena Antone tallied 11 of her 15 points in the first half as the Raiders (5-6, 3-1) built a 39-13 lead against the visiting Trojans (3-6, 0-4) at halftime. Rickyna Sam added 14 points for LR.

Nonleague

St. John-Endicott 68, Odessa-Harrington 43: Alli Winters poured in 35 points, hitting 9 of 10 from the 3-point line, and Gretchen Van Lith added 11 points and 10 rebounds as the Eagles (10-1) thumped the host Titans (4-8).

Wilbur-Creston 46, Wilson Creek 30: Kim Conway tallied all 13 of her points in the first half to help give the Wildcats (5-5) an 11-point halftime lead against the visiting Devils. Alex Potts added 10 points for the Wildcats.

Tekoa-Oakesdale 60, Dayton 39: Alexandria Overton finished with 25 points, Kayler Dub added 19 points and the Nighthawks (5-6) cruised to a win against the visiting Bulldogs (0-7).

Republic 54, Curlew 37: Brianna Brown tallied 16 points on 8-of-13 shooting and the Tigers (8-6) used a 20-9 run in the third quarter to pull away from the host Cougars (4-7). Tori Orestad added 14 points for the Tigers.

Colton 50, Asotin 31: McKenzie Heaslet finished with 15 points, Mollie Kramer added 10 points and the Wildcats (10-1) jumped out to a 21-6 lead after the first quarter and cruised to a win against the visiting Panthers (5-6).
