Beware of studies

In regard to the article on autism being caused by having kids two years apart, the only thing that shows is the prejudices of the researchers. If it were true, the number of autistic children in Third World countries would be astronomical. Also, I am old enough to remember when people had large families with kids spaced two years apart. Food allergies and autism were so rare, few people knew what they were, so something has changed in our environment and not for the better.

As for “scientific studies,” all they show nowadays are the biases of the researchers and in the case of DNA studies, the ignorance. For every report that says one thing, another will come out to repudiate it. We live in a world of junk science, so let common sense be your guide.
