CdA boys, girls win

The Coeur d’Alene girls basketball team almost got more than it bargained for against Prosser Monday in the SunDome Showdown in Yakima.

With senior post Carli Rosenthal in foul trouble for most of the game, the Vikings (12-4) survived a back-and-forth final quarter to beat the previously undefeated Mustangs 43-42, capped by a wild scramble for a rebound after a Prosser player missed a short baseline jumper with 8 seconds to play.

Caelyn Orlandi paced CdA with 15 points.
