Multi-car pile up blocks U.S. 2 near SIA

A multiple-vehicle collision just before 8 a.m. blocked eastbound U.S. Highway 2 near its interchange with Airport Drive for more than an hour. The Washington State Patrol reported that up to five separate accidents involving multiple vehicles occurred one after another, which blocked the two eastbound lanes. Minor injuries were reported. The State Patrol and fire agencies responded to the scene, and traffic was slowed through the area until about 9:20 a.m. Another accident around 8 a.m. was slowing westbound traffic on Interstate 90 just east of the Sprague Avenue interchange.
