CCS pounds T-Wolves

Preston Wynne scored 22 of his 27 points in the first half, helping Community Colleges of Spokane (12-5, 4-1) build a 53-34 halftime lead en route to a 107-78 victory over Blue Mountain CC (3-12, 2-3) Saturday at Spokane Falls.

The Sasquatch pushed the lead to as high as 29 points in the second half, getting an additional 22 points and six assists from Chaz Johnson and 17 points and 11 boards from Danny Marshall.

CCS held the Timberwolves to just 34 points in the opening half, as BMCC shot 34.4 percent from the field.

North Idaho 68, Snow 57: Four players led North Idaho with 12 points and after trading leads in the early going, the Cardinals (19-3, 4-3) went on a run to take a 33-22 lead and never looked back, beating Snow (14-8, 3-4) in SWAC action in Coeur d’Alene.

Nick Fromm added eight rebounds to his 12 points, while Tyrone White scored 12 points to go with five boards.

The Badgers were led by a game-high 25 points from Travis Wilkins, who was 4 of 7 from the 3-point line.
