Japanese drum group Kodo cancels Spokane show

By Correspondent

Kodo, the Japanese drum group, has canceled its Wednesday performance at the Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox.

The group has run into delays in shipping its massive taiko drums from Japan and can’t guarantee the drums will make it to Spokane on time.

The Spokane date was intended as the opening performance of its North American tour. Now, the tour will open in Vancouver, British Columbia, on Friday.

Over a thousand tickets were sold for the Spokane performance.

Tickets purchased online, by phone or at the Fox box office with a credit card will automatically be refunded this week.

Tickets buyers who purchased at the Fox with cash or checks can get a refund in person at the Fox box office, 1001 W. Sprague Ave.

Buyers who purchased tickets in person at TicketsWest outlets must return their tickets to the Arena Box Office, 720 W. Mallon, Spokane, WA 99201. Please include contact information if sending by mail.

For information, call the Fox box office, (509) 624-1200.
