Ferris rallies in fourth against NC

A rare thing happened to the Ferris boys basketball team Tuesday. The Saxons trailed going into the fourth quarter against the North Central Indians. Visiting Ferris outscored North Central 18-8 in the final period to take a 69-61 victory in Greater Spokane League action. Riley Stockton led the GSL-leading Saxons (14-1, 13-0 league) with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Teammate Jordan Tonani had 12 points and eight rebounds. Zac Hill led NC (6-8, 6-7) with 14 points and Isaiah Hollister pulled down six rebounds. Gonzaga Prep 72, Shadle Park 52: The Bullpups (12-3, 11-2) built a 30-point lead before coach Matty McIntyre emptied his bench in the fourth quarter against the visiting Highlanders (3-12, 2-11). Chris Sarbaugh scored all 26 of his game-high points for G-Prep in three quarters to go with nine assists and seven steals. Teammate Parker Kelly had 20 points and 10 rebounds. Nick Bettinson led Shadle with 15 points. Mt. Spokane 62, Central Valley 55: The Wildcats (4-11, 2-11) got 16 points and 10 rebounds from Kellen Clute as they topped the visiting Bears (7-8, 6-7). Garret Sawyer led CV with 14 points. Rogers 67, Mead 64: Therone Tillett hit a 3-pointer with 10 seconds left to lift the Pirates (6-9, 6-7) past the visiting Panthers (5-10, 4-9). Deavon Daniels led Rogers with 17 points and Tillett added 16. Garrett Swanson led Mead with 17 points. University 69, Lewis and Clark 61: Brett Bailey led the Titans (12-3, 11-2) with 14 points in the win over the visiting Tigers (4-11, 4-9). Jeff Livingston led the Tigers with 25 points.
