Bond foes lack courage

I received a mailer against the school bonds from a Citizens for Responsible Taxation, which, upon reading, was highly misleading if not downright full of lies.

I will start with the fact that their address is listed on the South Hill which is most definitely not in either school district. The CFRT group grossly exaggerates the costs involved with what the districts are seeking and inflates the total costs. Further, they claim for Mead it is a new tax. Wrong again, it is a replacement of one that is going away, so our tax rates will stay the same.

Also, nowhere on their website do they say who the “committee” is, which is total cowardice. If you are going to have an opinion, at least live in the district you are campaigning against or flake off.
