Auditions

Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre Classes - Auditioning Workshop: For ages 3-5. Learn the nuts and bolts of auditioning for a professional or community theater. Students get an opportunity to perform for Artist Director Roger Welch using prepared material; he will coach and give direction. Workshop also covers pictures, resumes, what to wear and how to prepare for an audition. Participants should bring sheet music for two songs, roughly 16 bars each. Feb. 5, 2-5 p.m., $35. Master Audition Class: For ages 16 and older. Class starts with a question-and-answer session, followed by each actor performing for Artist Director Roger Welch using their prepared material in a group format. Also covers pictures and resumes, what to wear and how to prepare. Participants should bring sheet music for two songs, roughly 16 bars each. Feb. 12, 2-5 p.m., $45. One Act Play Festival – Pend Oreille Players Association is seeking original one-act plays for the 2011 festival. Open to all genres and ages; no previous playwriting experience or past production history is required. Mail three bound copies of each entry (more than one script may be entered) with all pages numbered and no author identification on the scripts or title page; a separate title page with author identification; and an introductory letter which includes name, address, phone number, e-mail address and a short biography to One Act Play Festival, c/o Pend Oreille Playhouse Community Theatre, 240 N.
