Lilac group gives toys

The Spokane Lilac Festival Association contributed 461 toys and $632 in donations for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program this past Christmas.

Together, Toys for Tots and the association helped more than 10,000 children have a merry Christmas.

The Lilac Festival Association has helped raise funds and toys for the Toys for Tots program for the past five years, increasing donations each year.

The festival theme, “Ignite the Spirit of America” will be used throughout the year to inspire and embody the festival’s mission.
