Spokesman-Review

Tri-City topped the Spokane Indians 10-3 in a Northwest League baseball game on Friday night at Pasco to drop the Indians out of a three-way first-place tie and behind the Dust Devils and Boise in the East.

John Kukuruda (0-2) took the loss, giving up six runs, four earned, on seven hits and a walk.

Only one of Spokane’s runs was earned.

The Dust Devils scored first in the second inning on Jordan Ribera’s third home run, a solo shot. Tri-City then had a trio of three-run innings, putting together an 11-hit attack.

Their first three-spot came in the fourth for a 4-0 lead, using two doubles, a single and an error.

The Indians took advantage after Yakima starter Ben Alsup left after four scoreless innings by coming up with two runs against Nelson Gonzalez (1-0).

Hirotoshi Onaka had four hits, including a double and triple, for Spokane.
