Warm temperatures expected through Thursday

Summer temperatures are going to take over for the next few days with highs in the middle and upper 80s through Thursday. Sunny skies are expected today with a high temperature near 84 in Spokane and Coeur d’Alene. The warm weather continues on Wednesday and Thursday with highs going up by two or three degrees each day. Lows will be in the 50s. A ridge of higher air pressure has moved over the Inland Northwest, pushing storms to the north and south of the region. A cold front late on Thursday is going to bring a chance of showers or thunderstorms and a shot of cooler air on Friday and Saturday when highs drop back to the 70s. At 7 a.m. today, it was 60 at Spokane International Airport, 56 at Felts Field, 57 in Coeur d’Alene, 53 in Deer Park and 55 in Pullman.
