Cats need loving homes

From Staff Reports

The Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Service is once again overwhelmed with pets waiting for a loving home.

SCRAPS is offering a special on adult cats through Saturday. Cats can be adopted for $15, the price of a cat license, and are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, licensed and receive a free veterinary examination.

Tuesday, “SCRAPS received 23 animals, many we assume escaped as a result of loud fireworks on the Fourth of July,” said Nicole Montano, lead animal protection officer. SCRAPS is open Monday through Saturday noon to 5:30 p.m. and is located at 2521 N. Flora Road in Spokane Valley.
