Warm weather will send temperatures into the lower 80s today, but a low pressure system from the Gulf of Alaska is going to cool the weather during the rest of the work week. Mostly sunny skies are forecast for today with light south winds and a low tonight of 60. The low advances southward on Tuesday, raising a threat of showers or thunderstorms across the region. A 20 percent chance of storms prevails tonight and Tuesday, rising to 30 percent on Tuesday night and 40 percent on Wednesday and Wednesday night. The storms are not expected to be widespread, but will strike randomly across the region. High temperatures will fall back into the 70s with lows going to the 50s. Mostly sunny weather and highs near 80 return for the weekend. At 7 a.m., it was 60 at Spokane International Airport, 57 at Felts Field, 55 in Coeur d’Alene, 54 in Deer Park and 57 in Pullman. .
