Romo comes up short in celebrity golf championship

Actor Jack Wagner earned his second title at the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship on Sunday in Stateline, Nev., holding off late-charging Tony Romo with a 10-foot birdie putt on the 17th hole and overcoming a shot into the pond guarding the 18th. Romo eagled No. 11 after reaching the green with his drive on the 315-yard par 4. The Cowboys quarterback birdied No. 13 to pull within two points in the modified Stableford scoring format that puts a premium on eagles and birdies. Both hit inside 15 feet on the par-3 17th, but Romo missed his birdie attempt while Wagner made his.
