Fairchild airman killed in Medical Lake crash

A Fairchild Air Force Base crew member was killed on Saturday in a single-vehicle accident in Medical Lake. Senior Master Sgt. Gary Gonzalez served in the 92nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, according to base officials. Col. Paul Guemmer, 92nd Air Refueling Wing commander, said the death of Gonzalez “is a heartbreaking loss to Team Fairchild and the United States Air Force.” The cause of the accident was under investigation, officials said.
