Body found in Spokane River

Spokane Fire Department has pulled a body from the Spokane River in the area of West Boone Avenue and Evergreen Street.

Kayakers spotted the body about 11:10 a.m. this morning. Spokane Police are investigating. The person, who has not been identified, was wearing a purple shirt.
