Brower is a leader

It was an honor for me to represent our community as an elected member of the Spokane Public Schools board of directors from 2001-2007. The job required a heart big enough to care for all children but the toughness to make difficult decisions.

In the upcoming election, I believe Deana Brower stands out among the candidates running for a position on the school board. Ms. Brower is an experienced educator that spent 12 years teaching and mentoring children. She has been actively involved as a volunteer in the public schools her two children attend, as well as serving all students through her leadership in the most recent Citizens for Spokane Schools campaign. Deana is a community leader and advocate for youth, currently volunteering as a board member for the Chase Youth Commission and YWCA.

If elected, Deana will focus on accountability and collaboration. She will work to see that students and educators receive the support they need to succeed in the classroom. Deana has clearly demonstrated the required skills, time, and passion for education that it takes to be an effective school board member. I urge you to vote for Deana Brower for Spokane Public Schools board of directors.
