Cut, cap and balance

I would like to commend Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers for taking a strong stand and protecting the interests of those she represents.

The cut, cap and balance bill is a plan that is expressly supported by a large majority of Americans. In this day of excessive borrowing and spending by the federal government, this bill will not only cut uncontrolled spending right away, but it would bring the government back to accountability as well as force it to prioritize its spending.

It will change the course of excessive spending. It is unclear to me why any responsible person would be opposed to limits on borrowing, spending and printing money. This needs to be done before there are any talks of “raising revenue,” which is just another way of saying raising taxes.

Few people know that millions of our taxpayer dollars are being used by our State Department to renovate Islamic mosques in foreign countries, including those in China, Pakistan and India. This is just one example of excessive government spending.

Thank you, Rep. McMorris Rodgers, for addressing Secretary of State Hillary Clinton regarding this matter last October. I wonder if we will receive an answer back on that one!
