Second Amendment safe

What is Curtis E. Stone’s problem?

Stone says (letters, July 24) that the Democrats are trying to kill the Second Amendment. The only way they could do that would be to repeal it. Given the popularity of the amendment with state legislatures and the American people and the fact that the Supreme Court recently affirmed its application to individuals, repeal could not possibly happen.

Recognizing that fact is not delusional, as Stone says. It is delusional to suppose that Americans could be disarmed. The Second Amendment is a trump card for gun ownership. So I repeat my question: What threat?
