Baxter proved himself

Sen. Jeff Baxter is home now in the Spokane Valley after the extended session in Olympia and can begin campaigning and raising funds. He was originally nominated in January by a majority of the 4th District precinct committee officers to fill the late Sen. Bob McCaslin’s seat, and was then unanimously endorsed by the county commissioners. This was because Jeff is a successful local businessman of honesty and integrity, without past political baggage, who understands the difficult times we now face, and will be part of the solution – rather than just filling a position. I believe if Bob had lived longer he would have been pleased with the stellar job Jeff has done in Olympia.

Jeff has proven he has the energy and wisdom to read the bills and work with his fellow senators, while staying in touch with his constituents. We need younger, yet seasoned people like Sen. Jeff Baxter, who represent the grassroots citizens – not the establishment – who will not quit when the going gets tough and who have demonstrated they will put their hearts and backs into righting the course this foundering ship of state has taken.
