In brief: Input on bike plan sought

SPOKANE VALLEY – The city of Spokane Valley will host an open house Wednesday to get public input on the draft bike and pedestrian master program. The most recent updates to the plan to enhance bike and pedestrian access will be available for public comment and discussion.

The open house will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at City Hall, 11707 E. Sprague Ave.

District to honor Hernandez

FREEMAN – The Freeman School District will honor retiring Superintendent Sergio Hernandez on Thursday with a reception at Freeman Middle School, 15001 S. Jackson Road.

The reception will be held in the library from 3:15 to 5:15 p.m.
