Obama good for Israel

President Barack Obama does not undermine Israel as Charles Krauthammer presents in his column of May 28.

President Obama offers the best course for peace since Israel became a Jewish state. He unwaveringly supports Israel’s security, ever mindful of the horrific atrocities and genocide inflicted upon the Jewish people by Hitler.

Both President Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated in their recent speeches that they want lasting peace based on two secure states side by side. It is in America’s national interest.

It is not productive or logical to disparage President Obama’s intelligence, compassion and willingness to work with both Israelis and Palestinians to avert brewing problems in that inflammatory region of the world.

Mr. Krauthammer’s approach only exposes Israel to growing isolation in Europe and in the United Nations.
