Seventh horse has virus
IDAHO FALLS – The Idaho Department of Agriculture said another horse has been infected with the highly contagious Equine Herpes Virus-1, bringing the number of confirmed cases in the state to seven horses.
The department reported last week that a Bonneville County horse tested positive for the disease but was expected to recover.
The animal was a stable-mate of horses that traveled to Ogden, Utah, for the Western National Cutting Championships several weeks ago.
