Second Ave. paving to close Maple, Walnut tonight
Final paving work on Second Avenue between Walnut Street and Sunset Boulevard will force closure of Walnut and Maple streets starting at 7 tonight. The paving work is expected to last until 6 a.m. on Friday.
Traffic southbound on the Maple Street Bridge will be rerouted east to Monroe or Lincoln streets.
The closure will shift east on Friday evening with crews paving the section from Howard Street to Walnut starting at 7 p.m. The closure could last until 6 a.m. Saturday.
During that time, traffic will be blocked on Monroe and Lincoln at Second.
