Wine event to benefit psychiatric programs

Local wineries and wine lovers will come together to raise money for psychiatric programs at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center and Children’s Hospital on Saturday at Arbor Crest Wine Cellars, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The Pour honors the late Dr. Michael Manz, a child psychiatrist at Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital and winemaker and founder of Spokane’s Mountain Dome Winery.

The annual event will include a five-course gourmet dinner prepared by chef Romeo Herrera of Catered for You and 10 wines will be poured with dinner. Additional wines will be featured during a tasting prior to dinner. Live and silent auctions also will be held featuring items such as travel packages to Belize and Lake Tahoe, an authentic Chilean dinner for six prepared by Oscar Haupt, cooking classes from Downriver Grill, and local and regional wine tasting packages.

Wineries featured in the dinner include Arbor Crest, Barrister, Ensemble, Fort Walla Walla and Latah Creek.

Tickets are $150 per person and space is limited.

To purchase tickets and for more information, call (509) 474-2819 or visit www.thepour.info.
