New Faces

Bekah Dunn has been hired by River Park Square as social media/marketing manager. She holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a master’s degree in business administration/ international management from Whitworth University.

Lookout Pass Ski and Recreation Area in Wallace, Idaho, has hired Bill Jennings as director of marketing and sales. He previously worked as a marketing communications consultant and as a content specialist for a Spokane Internet marketing company, and served as the ski columnist for The Spokesman-Review. He holds a degree from Washington State University and has 30 years of marketing communications experience.

Julian Gomez-Giraldo has been hired as artistic director of the Spokane Youth Symphony. He serves as director of orchestras at Eastern Washington University. He holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from the Universidad Pedagogica Nacional-Columbia; master’s degrees in theory and composition, choral and orchestral conducting from Texas Christian University; and a doctorate of arts degree in orchestral conducting from the University of Northern Colorado.

Promotions

Moloney, O’Neill, Corkery and Jones promoted Terina Ward, Jennifer Greve and Christina Castillo to account executives in the Personal Insurance Division.

New Position

Anne Potter has been named marketing services supervisor for The Spokesman-Review. She previously served as a graphic designer and has been with the company since 1985.

Kudos

The Idaho Department of Commerce presented The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce’s destination marketing council, Visit Sandpoint, with a first-place blue ribbon for the organization’s visitors guide. This is the second consecutive year the council has won the award.

Kim Zentz has been selected as a member of the 2011 Pivotal Leader Network. Zentz is executive director of Sirti.

The Washington Agriculture and Forestry Education Foundation presented Derek Schafer with its Jack Felgenhauer Leadership Fellowship Award during the foundation’s leadership program Class 32 graduation. Schafer is a wheat farmer and owner of Schafer Ranch in Ritzville.

Appointed

The following individuals have been appointed as directors of the National Association of Professional Mortgage Women-Spokane’s 2011-12 board of directors: Crissy White of Spokane County Title, Drew Sullivan of US Bank and Jodie Carpine of Prudential Spokane Real Estate.

John Insinger has been appointed to the Board of Commissioners for the Idaho Housing and Finance Association. Insinger is an of counsel attorney for Risch Pisca LLP and Goss Gustavel Goss PLLC in Boise.

Elected

The following individuals have been elected as new members of the Spokane Club’s Board of Trustees: Katy Bruya of Washington Trust Bank, Marty Dickinson of Spokane Downtown Partnership and University District, Linda Elkin of US Bank and Darin Klundt of Klundt Hosmer.
