Beehive truck strikes U.S. 2 overpass

A commercial vehicle carrying beehives struck the railroad overpass on U.S. 2 near Fairchild Air Force Base, spilling hives onto the highway. The accident around 3 p.m. has blocked both lanes of the highway. Troopers said that it was not known yet if bees were in the hives or if any had escaped. The overpass serves as the BNSF Railway main line between Spokane and Seattle.
