Auditions

Tangled Roots Dance Studio Hip-Hop Team – Open audition for ages 12-17, Friday, 9 a.m. at 2324 E. Euclid Ave., Suite 106. Everyone is guaranteed a spot on the team. Auditioners learn a short choreographed piece to be performed in front of a panel of instructors, and also perform a freestyle piece that can include any style of hip-hop. Cost is $35. Spokane Civic Theatre Summer Camps – One-Week Camps: For students entering grades 3-6. “Harry Potter and The Secret Rehearsal,” Monday-July 1; “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” July 11-15; “Narnia: Prince Caspian,” July 18-22; “Harry Potter: On the Hogwarts Express,” July 25-29; “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King,” Aug. 1-5. The Lion’s Share Summer Drama Camps – “Narnia, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader”: Monday-July 1. “Harry Potter” Camp: Focuses on “The Sorcerer’s Stone,” July 11-14. Campers play drama games, do art projects and rehearse for a concluding workshop performance of scenes from the camp novel. Camps run 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at The Lion’s Share, 1627 N. Christian Youth Theater Camps – Junior and Bitty Camps – Weeklong summer camps for ages 5-13 are held through Aug. 12. Workshops include voice, dance, and drama. Held at Lake City Community Church, 6000 N. Ramsey Road, Coeur d’Alene. Cost is $140 for campers ages 7-13 and $85 for campers ages 5-6, if registered by June 30 for July and August camps; after those dates, cost is $160 for ages 7-13 and $95 for ages 5-6 (includes a T-shirt and pizza on Friday). Summer Arts Program For Youth – For ages 3-15. Class dates are Tuesday-June 30, July 5-7 and July 12-14. Technology, Techniques and Tips – First class in this five-class series will cover free-motion embroidery of a cat using shadowing techniques.
