Learning to shine as team. Stephen Salazar, 18, of Spokane, along with Tyler Niesen, 17, center, and Billy Eshleman, 16, both of Kennewick, march and play the contrabass bugle during the Spokane Thunder Drum and Bugle Corps camp Tuesday at Centennial Middle School in Spokane Valley. The musicians will train for 10 days then tour the Northwest and California from June 30 to July 18, including the Pacific Coast Championship in Los Angeles. (Dan Pelle)
