Light timing good for safety

I think Spokane should definitely keep the red light cameras. However, we cannot depend on any of our lights around town to be timed the same.

I think the city’s priority should be to decrease incidents such as tickets and accidents. A lot of the lights downtown now have a countdown to yellow on the crosswalk signs. To me that seems like a more safe and sane way for everyone to know when that light is going to change and adjust their driving accordingly. To me, it’s a no-brainer when I see 3-2-1. Yellow for three seconds and it’s your own fault for the ticket – no ifs, ands or buts, because it’s right in your face.

However, there needs to be a uniform time on all yellow-to-red timing.
