Warmer weather returns to Inland NW

Warmer weather returns to the Inland Northwest this week with highs going to the upper 70s to mid-80s. The Pacific storm track has moved off shore today, allowing higher air pressure to move northward along with milder temperatures. High-elevation clouds are going to be part of the picture today, but a good amount of sunshine will reach the ground. Highs in the downtown Spokane area today should reach 79 with lows tonight in the upper 50s. Coeur d’Alene may reach 80 today. Winds will be light. Temperatures climb on Tuesday to the middle 80s. A cold front on Tuesday night may bring a risk of showers by Wednesday and a cool down going into the weekend with highs dropping from the upper 70s on Wednesday to lower 70s on Thursday and Friday. The July Fourth weekend promises to bring good weather with highs becoming more like summer. Highs Saturday and Sunday will hover near 80 degrees. At 7 a.m., if was 57 at Spokane International Airport and Felts Field, 54 in Coeur d’Alene and 59 in Pullman.
