EMERSON/GARFIELD – Friends of Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge will have its fourth annual auction on March 27, from 1 to 4 p.m., at the Lincoln Center, 1316 N. Lincoln St., to raise funds for Turnbull’s environmental education programs.

The event will include a pasta buffet, dessert and a no-host bar, along with live and silent auctions.

Tickets are $25 per person for Friends members and $30 for nonmembers.

Senior center hosts Movin’, Groovin’ Fair

EMERSON/GARFIELD – The Corbin Senior Activity Center, 827 W. Cleveland Ave., will hold its seventh annual Movin’ and Groovin’ Fair on Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Participants can receive free screenings for glucose and cholesterol. Information about health, finance, senior living, travel, fitness and insurance will be available from 60 vendors. Lunch will be available for $4.

The event is free and open to the public.
