Democrats led budget cut

I commend Idaho Congressman Raul Labrador for his recent vote to deny funding for the supersonic jet engine project.

However it should be noted that while his vote was one of 47 of the 87 new Republican congressmen and 63 other Republicans (total 110), the majority of “no” votes came from 123 Democrats.

Additionally, President Obama and Defense Secretary Gates had urged the defeat of this budget item. I thank Congressman Labrador for his “no” vote, but it was the Democrats who actually defeated this budget item. A savings of $450 million.
